Professional Bookkeeping Service (PBS) was established in 1982 and
is a customized business which fills the needs of small businesses which
do not require full-time personnel. Accounting is done to the trial
balance level, then transferred to the client’s accountant at year-end. Some
clients have their own computerized accounting packages, while others use
our packages. We are also QuickBooks Pro Advisors. Our specialty
is small businesses such as sole proprietors, corporations or partnerships
and our service is tailored to suit your needs.
Generally, services include Payroll, Accounts Receivable,
Accounts Payable, Third Party Billing of insurance claims, General Ledger
and Consultant activities. We will review client’s current accounting procedures
and recommend/ implement more efficient office practices. We will
also train the client or their staff in the use of the computer accounting
software and supervise the conversion of any manual system or existing
computer software.
PBS has grown over the years to the point we now employ one staff person
in the office and three field bookkeepers.
As QuickBooks Pro Advisors, we will help you convert existing data into
QuickBooks Pro for IBM and teach you and your staff how to operate it to
its best advantage. We will monitor your progress throughout the
year and help you prepare your information for your tax preparer.
